Hi, my name is Fiona, and I am an artist living in the beautiful
Macedon Ranges, Victoria. In 2018 I discovered painting landscape art was my passion.
Being in nature has been incredibly healing for me in recent years and I love sharing these feelings through my work. I love to paint trees, skies, and beaches of locations I have visited. I love watching the seasons change and our environment evolve; sea’s changing form throughout the day, trees changing shapes over a lifetime, grass and leaves changing colours with the seasons, how the sky can be dull and lifeless one day then bright and spectacular the next. Blue and purple are my favourite colours and are my most used paints.
I am currently studying in the area of Mental Health, my vision
is growing and evolving and I’m currently working to incorporate my creative side with my passion for health and well-being. My hope is for people to rediscover their own creativity to find peace, focus and contentment in a supportive community setting.
I hope others can look at my art and experience the same feelings being in nature has for me.

Why? Suicide Prevention is at the core of my work, increasing services in our community and ensuring people and their families feel supported through their darkest times.
I have a strong attachment with nature which I know many people do, this is why I paint trees, they represent so much. To understand the story behind this project please visit www.bluetreeproject.com.au

COMMUNITY. CONNECT. CREATE.
Please take a moment to check out my new project, a resource listing support and community groups in the Macedon Ranges. The aim of this project is to create a space for people to rediscover their interests and hobbies within the community in a creativity and supportive setting.
I started painting for myself and found there was something very healing and empowering about being lost in what I was creating. I have always had a passion for mental health and I am now very driven to create changes in our system and on an individual level. Society has come along way in recognising and understanding mental illness but there is still so much stigma and gaps within local communities, as well as shame for individuals to seek support when they are in a crisis.
helping one person might not change the world but it could change the world for one person.
Macedon Ranges Art Bomb Project
Art Bombing for Mental Health in Macedon Ranges Shire
at the start of the year I was one of four artists in the Macedon Ranges creating a piece of artwork raising community awareness around mental health in our region. My painting was on display on the external wall of The Corner Coffee Bar, Corner, Gisborne for the month of March and auctioned with the proceeds going to the Macedon Ranges Suicide Prevention Action Group.
Name: Stay While I Swing
Medium: Acrylic paint on canvas 200cm X90cm
This painting is inspired by the concept of staying with yourself through challenging times.
Surrounding yourself in nature and finding messages in your environment, which supports you.
